New Graphics ForumThe past few weeks I've been busy moving my MSN group over to Yuku.com since MSN will be closing down all groups February 21st. I've moved most of my tubes ( in png format) over to the new group and I've started moving my PSP tutorials over as well. UB Graphics
All of my tubes/images are free for PERSONAL USE. That means you can make siggies/tags with them for yourself and for your friends but you cannot sell them, you cannot offer them for download on your own sites. You may not make anything with them to sell and make money from such as web sets. For that, you will need to purchase my commercial license, which is a one time fee of $25 To do that, please visit my graphics site KKL Kreations
If you have any questions you can email me at kklkreations+@+comcast +.net (remove all +'s)
I've not yet even begun working on scrapbook embellishments as I'd hoped but first things first.
'FREE' Graphic - Witch Cat & Crow I had so much fun making the Witch Cat & Crow pattern from Moonchild's Primitives that I thought it would make a wonderful graphic. I emailed Donna, the owner of Moondchild's Primitives to get her permission to recreate my result from her pattern as a graphic. Donna granted it, and was excited to see her pattern done up as a graphic image.
You can download the free image from here as a gif file by clicking on the image below and saving to your computer. This file has a transparent background. If you would like this image as a PSP picture tube or in png format, just email me at kklprimitves@comcast.net If you use this graphic, please give Moonchild's Primitives credit as the original artist / designer and I sure wouldn't mind a plug as the image recreator. ;) Please be sure to visit Donna at Moonchild's Primitives to order your own Witch Cat & Crow Pattern - or any one of her other wonderfully prim patterns! http://www.moonchildsprimitives.com/If you would like to see other graphic images I've created you can visit my online 'store' at http://www.freewebs.com/kklkreations . First Post Since MayI haven't been in here for a few months now. I just haven't really created anything new for awhile. I've been terribly busy making some prim ornies ( ornaments) for an ornie swap I've involved in which was taking up a lot of my 'free' time. I just finished those up two days ago and got them shipped out.
I decided to close down my 'new' graphic forum as it just didn't take off as I'd hoped. Many of my members & friends from my 'old' forum at MSN just didn't care for the new board and was uncomfortable with it. I reopened the boards to the old forum about 2 weeks ago and I think I 'lost' some members who moved on. So sad. Maybe they'll come back someday.
I was commissioned by Linda Walsh of Linda Walsh Original Dolls to create some graphics out of 13 of her dollies and just finished those up a couple days ago. I think they turned out very nice. You can view the original items on Linda's blog but I can't show you my recreated graphics until Linda has posted them herself. And then I can only link to them. She was hosting a baby shower for her niece and made these dolls up as centerpieces and favors. I think they are adorable.
I hope to get back to making some new graphics soon. I've just recently been interested in digital scrapbooking. Not that I want to scrapbook myself, but I'd love to learn how to make kits as giveaways. Stay tuned in case I am actually able to do this, lol. They will be offered on this blog. I'm especially interested in making the elements/embellishments.

Advertise Your Websites At Qassia For FREEI was introduced to a website called Qassia that is a credit-driven intelligence engine coupled to a cascading tag-based web directory.
At Qassia, you can add your websites for free, and without having to add reciprocal backlinks. You'll get unlimited quality backlinks. You can also add intel. Short for "intelligence", intel is a tidbit of information.
Qassia rewards users who add intel in three ways.
1. Backlinks You get one backlink for every piece of intel you add. Every intel will carry a direct backlink to one of your sites. So the more intel you add, the more backlinks you get. 2. Credit When you add intel, you also get credit, in the form of Qassia dollars. Your net worth in Qassia dollars determines how well your websites rank in our directory. 3. Revenue When your intel is displayed, you get 100% of the advertising revenue generated by that page. ( Revenue is used in $ signs but is NOT actual money, it is credits that is applied to your listed websites - the more credits/revenue you have, the higher rankings your sites gets).
What is Intel?
Intel is information that you provide for others to read. It can be taken from your blog or website ( you are the original author or have been given permission from the original author to publish 'anywhere'). My article here may not be used as Intel because the information is about Qassia.
Intel may consist of any information, provided that copyright is not violated, and the intel is: 1. in English. 2. comprised of sentences as opposed to keywords. 3. non-pornographic. 4. not about Qassia.
What happens is when you publish Intel on your Qassia site, you receive credits. After it is submitted, it will be screened and rated by others ( outstanding, good job, etc.). The readers also receive credits towards their sites for each read Intel.
You will also receive credits for each referral from your site. For example when you click on my Qassia Site and sign up and then validate your email, I will receive $200 referral credits. The same will apply to you when you refer someone and they click on your Qassia Site, sign up and validate their email.
It seems like an interesing concept, and it's free, so what do you have to lose? Stop by my Qassia site and have a look for yourself. You can click on other links provided to give you more indepth to what Qassia is all about.
I've listed my crafts website, graphics website and Zazzle website and plan to add my blogs as well. Every little bit of free advertising helps! Now Selling On ZazzleI've just opened a Zazzle account where I can sell my graphic and photography images on products. I do not receive full price for the products sold, but I do get royalties. Just another way to get my name out there, plus make a little pocket change at the same time. Hopefully, lol that's the game plan anyway.
I added my Zazzle Panel beneath the site topper as it is too large to fit in the sides of my blog, and I tried adding it to the bottom of the page, but no one would even see it. I have tried to center it - but it doesn't want to be centered for some reason.
Currently I have only added mousepads in my product line, but I plan to add mugs, tee-shirts, calendars, key chains, magnets and more.
If you sign up for my 'fan club' on my Zazzle site, you will receive updates whenever new products are added.

Hello! It's been a long time since I've posted here. I Haven't had much time to make any new graphics as I've been concentrating on my websites and crafting.
One of my sites is KKL Kreations - where I have my graphics for sale. I haven't sold any graphics in quite a while, so I kind of 'forgot' about the site with the holidays and 'everything'.
I received a PayPal payment today for a grubby tag. ???? I was very confused, as I just 'knew' I didn't have any grubby tags for sale!!!! I am in crafting mode so was wracking my brain trying to figure out where someone would have purchased a grubby tag from me. I didn't have any on my craft site.......none for sale on eBay......nor on Etsy..........it took quite a while for me to even think that MAYBE I had a graphic of a grubby tag........................yep. That was it, lol. I honestly don't know where my head is these days. I have too much going on. I've been contacted by several people wondering if I'd be interested in selling any of my crafts wholesale ( which I've not done before ) and today someone contacted me about my country/prim graphics - to possibly make a complete website graphics set for. *Ü*
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out. It will only be the second webset I've ever 'sold'. woo hoo! lol *Freebies* Oct. 29, 2007I've been very busy with my crafting and haven't had too much time to play around in PSP. I was making some Primitive Grubby Jars like this one for my shoppe and craft show and needed some 'labels' so I made up a bunch - and I'm sharing.
All labels have a 'burnt edge' look from a filter I used
Click on the link to see the label ( if you get a red X try again) and to the right you'll see an area that says 'download image'

Pirate, Ballerina & Football Images
Since doing Linda Walsh of Linda Walsh Originals grandchildren's image recreations, I decided to add some 'bodies' to my KKL Kreations site - and see if possibly anyone else wants their child's or grandchild's graphic image done too. So far this is what I've come up with: Pirate, Pro Football Player and Ballerina. Each image recreation is $6 and fits on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper for printing off. They can be resized, framed, you can create transfers with them to add to your child's Tee-shirts, sweat shirts, mugs, scrap books, used as signatures in emails. I'm working on a few more graphic options and will post when they are ready.
The children in these photos are my own grandchildren. technorati tags: blogging , graphics , Web design , Internet , Computers , Paint Shop Pro, Digital Art, animations, software, Posted by: Neenee KKL Primitives - country and primitive craft creations KKL Kreations - Primitive and Country graphics, advertising, plug board The Krazy Kraft Lady - eBay Store - crafts and collectibles The Krazy Kraft Lady Blog - crafts, interviews with crafters, craft photos and more KKL Graphics Blog - free graphics, tutorial links, interviews, resource links KKL Kreations Blog - resource for free and low cost advertising options Menopausal Monster Blog - personal blog on menopause & heart surgery - or Mrs. Jeckyll Meets Mrs. Hyde The Crafter's Lounge - crafter's forum/community Unique Boutique - graphics forum, create your own graphics Unique Boutique2 - PSP 7, 8, 9 tutorials Tubes4Us - copyright safe PSP tubes for personal use Neenee's Tubes / PSP Tube Depot - free tubes for personal use, created by Neenee contributing editor to: Primitive Times Magazine - online FREE Magazine Primitive Times Magazine Blog
Personalized GraphicsMy 'mentor' and self proclaimed #1 fan, Linda Walsh, of Linda Walsh Originals suggested that I offer personalized graphics on my KKL Kreations site after she saw a graphic I did of one of the dolls I made.
Linda was my very first customer and asked me to recreate 6 of her LWO dolls into graphics for her. Linda has over 1,000 dolls in her collection that she has made. The majority of them are her own patterns, though she has made dolls from other designer's patterns. Linda's dolls all have their own personalities and her blogs are a joy to read. To read her latest entry regarding the six dolls and their new personalized graphic click on the link below.

Articles In Linda Walsh's BlogsLinda Walsh of Linda's Blog, & The Best FREE Crafts Articles blog has written up an article on my Primitive/Vintage Doll & Crow and recreated graphic image of doll ( see post below ) in her blogs! In my crafting forum The Crafter's Lounge I had posted the photo of the doll and crow in the 'Our Creations' board. Linda, being the doll lover that she is, mentioned how much she loved it and that she thought it would make a great graphic. Hmmmmm why didn't I think of that? So I opened my PSP and began to work on one and was very pleased with the way it turned out.
Linda is a self proclaimed #1 Neenee's Graphics Fan....in fact she may be my only fan, lol.
I posted the graphic for Linda and she was very excited about it and private messaged me that she would like my permission to do an 'article' on the doll and the resulting graphic and I was both honored and tickled that she would do that for me.

My New Graphics Forum I have been getting a little aggravated with my current graphic group. I've not been able to change my websets in a few months now, and photos are always showing up as red X's, the email function rarely works and there are other little things that are just plain annoying. So I thought it was time to create a new forum somewhere else. I am using the same name so that my 'old' members can still find me.
The forum is still under construction, but you can take a peek if you like
The *New* and *Improved* Unique Boutique Graphics Community
I am accepting memberships if anyone is interested in being a part of this community. It's not just about graphics, it's about meeting people with the same interests and forging new friendships and rekindling old ones.
btw - for a little while anyway, I am keeping the *old* UB open until I decide that it's time to close it.

Carol with grandaughter Rachael
I've known Carol now for several years through the MSN groups. Carol, like myself creates her own images/graphics. She's talented and has a great sense of humor which is often portrayed in her work. Carol, please tell us a little about yourself. I'm from Manatoba, Canada. I will be married 30 years on May 14th, we have 3 kids and now 2 granddaughters...a stepgrand who is 8 yrs. old and her sister who is 18 months. I spend a lot of time babysitting the little one, just love her to bits! As for hobbies, I enjoy Psp, gardening, different crafts, sculpting in hypertufa & concrete and reading. Can only do the 'tufa and concrete work in the warmer months. I currently have 2 cats, Miss Thistle and Mr. Bojangles...we enjoy their different personalities and antics. How long have you been interested in graphics? I guess its been a few years since I discovered PaintShopPro and found groups on the 'net to help me learn how to use it. I've always liked doodling and drawing. What graphics program/s do you use? I use Psp-version 10, sometimes use ArtRage or OpenCanvas. You design your own images/characters, isn't that correct? Where do you find your inspiration for them? Yes, I do love to make my own images, some ideas just pop into my head, others from 'real life' moments or from just coming across something in a magazine or on TV or on the 'net...I don't 'copy' them but use them for inspiration. Do you have specific characters you like to create? It seems I have made a lot of snowmen...hahahaha - they are so easy! And mice, I didn't realize I liked them so much! Do your characters tend to be cartoonish or realistic or both? Oh, mostly cartoonish...I wish I could do more realistic work. That takes a lot of patience and time. How long have you been creating these images/characters? A couple of years now, I cringe when I see my earlier work...practice doesn't make 'perfect' but it sure helps! Do you mousedraw or use vectors, or both? Mousedraw mostly ...I used to only use the paintbrush but now use the pen tool often. Do you also draw freehand? Yes Do you like to animate? What kind of animation are you best at? I love animating - it's so much fun to see the final outcome, just wish I had more patience for it. Most of my animations are pretty simple. When making tags or siggies, do you prefer to use your own creations or do you also use artist's work ? ( with permission of course). I prefer to use my own work but often use other's work too. If you use artist's work, who is your favorite/s? Oh boy - I admire quite a few artists....I guess I must use Jeannes posers the most (PspTubeDepot) , I like YOUR art, Neenee! Also enjoy using photographer's work such as Rionnacs...you can find some of it at AnimationLessons2 -- a great msn group! I use an assortment of different images depending on what I'm trying to make (always checking the terms of use first, of course) . Sometimes I use my own photos, even digitally painting over some of them. Do you have any tips for beginners who would like to start creating their own graphics? Just jump in and start drawing or painting...try out different methods, it's fun and doesn't have to be perfect .Do you have any sites/groups you would recommend to a beginner starting out making their own graphics? For animation - AnimationLessons2 - msn group...there's lots of groups that offer lessons, just browse around... UniqueBoutique of course! Do you have your own website? I don't have my own website but do offer some of my work at PSP TubeDepot along with many other people. I also have a webshots album that displays some of my hypertufa work. Hypertufa is an artificial stone made from various aggregates bonded together using Portland cement. It is popular for making garden ornaments, pots and land forms. Hypertufa is relatively light compared with Terra cotta or Concrete and can withstand harsh winters, at least down to -30C (-20F).
Below is a sampling of Carol's graphic work

Spotlight On Graphic Animator Neophyte Neophyte is from Iowa. She is another wonderful animator I've met in the MSN group Animation Lessons2She wasn't able to provide me with a current photo so asked me to use this one instead. ;)
Tell us a little about yourself: I've been married for 42 years. I have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. I love animals. Currently, I only have 4 ferrets, but I've had as many as 8. I have 3 cats and a 120 lb. canine companion, named Walker. He's sooooo spoiled. I used to do all kinds of crafts, but I hate dusting, so now I garden and animate. I say grass is highly overrated, so I've done away with most of it in favor of flower beds. One nice thing about doing animations is they get stored right on the puter or in storage sites.....no dusting.
How & when did you learn to do animation? I think it was the winter of 2003 or the spring of 2004. I belonged to ferret sites and I noticed one of the members had a siggie with a ferret running back and forth. I asked about it. He told me about Paint Shop Pro and pointed me to a website called Animation Lessons. They really did have lessons. I was told I could download trial versions of PSP and Animation Shop which I did. I went through the lessons with a zillion questions. I couldn't even keep the two programs straight....lol Then I practiced and practiced on tubes I made from people's photos of their skunks and ferrets. I think I fell in love with vectors the first time I saw them. To me they make animating cleaner and sometimes easier.
What types of graphics do you like to animate? I like working with vectors and also with pixels....maybe because they are so different. Usually I create a tube and then start to move a part and then one thing leads to another. Eventually an idea forms for the complete animation.
What did you find was the hardest thing about learning to animate? I'm not sure I'd call it hard, but 'seeing' in layers was challenging.....grasping the correlation between the layer palette and what I was looking at in a frame. The hard part was creating smooth transitions. Of course, I always get carried away with the number of frames. If I didn't keep an eye on the file size, I'd probably create entire cartoons.
What was the easiest? I was surprised at how easy it was to animate. I was hooked as soon as I saw my name flashing in colors and I had done it myself. I grasped the concept that when something is different from one frame and the next, it creates animation.
What animation program do you use? Animation Shop is the actual animation program where I assemble and saved the gifs, but Paint Shop Pro is where I create the frames.
Do you also create your own characters? Yes, I do practically all my own animations from scratch. That way I don't have to get the credits to conform to T.O.U.s. I can just slap a ©Neophyte on it.
Do you ever use other artist's work ( with permission of course )? I think I've only used 1 artist's work, one time.
What do you enjoy most about animating? To me, it's like magic. It tickles me to think that I can move lines and colors around and create movement. There's no end to trying to fine tune the techniques.
How important is optimizing in animation? Well, there you go. Optimization will make or break an animation. Since the Optimizer won't allow anything except full pixels, without a background, it will hand you your animation with a bad case of creeping crud. Pixeled pieces are the exception because they use full pixels. Since it only uses 255 colors, it can destoy the prettiest of airbrushed or shaded work by puddling several gradually changed colors into a single spot. I love gradients, but optimizing isn't usually kind to them.
Have you ever written any animation tutorials? Where can we find them? I have and they will be found at Animations Lessons2. I began there and I don't wander far from home.
Which kind/type of animating do you find the hardest to do?
The easiest? Hmmm. Animator, who started the website, used to do whimsical so very well, but I think I struggle with that. Oh, and I'm an awful judge of how many and where to put sparkles. Using vectors for bouncing or perhaps swinging would be pretty easy. Do you have any words of encouragement for beginners of animation? Keep at it. Something new is always a challenge, but with practice, it becomes easier and then you'll move on to something else to challenge you. One day you look back and are amazed at how much knowledge you've acquired and how much easier are those things which once stymied you.
Have you ever considered doing animating professionally? Some of the members have mentioned it, but no, I have not considered it. First of all, because I'm not that talented and secondly, wouldn't that make it more like work?
Is there anything else you'd like to share about animating? Layers......layers are so important to learn. At least in my kind of animating. I know they intimidate so many people, but if one starts with a few and can grasp the concept of hiding on the layer palette what you don't want to see, while unhiding what you do want to see.....then gradually, one can work with a few more layers and then a few more. Timing.....the timing of the frames can change the mood of an animation. It is very important. Ther's no point in working on a nice animation and then losing it to poor timing. Also, when one uses text which changes in an animation, it is critical to gives the viewer enough time to read the text without straining. The viewer doesn't know ahead of time what it says like you do. Fun.....don't forget to have fun. I have settled into doing my style of animating, because that is what I enjoy. Some people like to learn all kinds of things and that's great, too.
Here are a few animations done by Neophtye I've reduced the size of these for this blog, but I've included links to view the animations in their original sizes. The smaller graphics do not do them justice.

Open a closeup photo of yourself in PSP and add a raster layer. Using the pen tool set at either 1 or 2 outline your photo from the shoulders up. Be sure to outline eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Delete the original photo. Now fill in the outline with paint and add your own creative touches.
